"I am not just a researcher but also a volunteer and a member of several professional societies. One of which is IEEE (www.ieee.org). As a dedicated volunteer, I was elected to be the Chairperson of IEEE Singapore, Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity group in 2008. During my leadership, I raised the awareness of women visibility in engineering. Later, I was elected as the secretary of IEEE (Singapore section) for year 2009 and 2010. I believe I encouraged and inspired several engineers (women) to be involved in IEEE activities. Several of them are currently in the executive committee of WIE and GOLD affinity groups; I hope women can be seen as great leaders.

In 2010, I led a team participating in US benchmarking- the team takes top honor among final 15 teams from 49 global participating teams. Before inspiring others, first step is to inspire oneself, and then go for it!

I am currently the Deputy Programme Manager of SCOLAR programme at my organization. I've received several awards, such as Dean Award and PhD Scholarship award from National University of Singapore."
