"Since my graduation from NUS, my peers all took the corporate route while I chose to become an entertainer. I sang & performed at gigs for a living and everyone thought I was crazy and wasted my years of education.

20 years on and I am still doing it and enjoying every moment. My journey as a gig performer taught me how to market my acts, do proposals & sales pitch, budgetting and to be a trend setter.

5 years ago I needed a breakthrough in my acts and picked up pole dancing and incorporated it to my act. I was the 1st in Singapore to bring a portable pole to a ballroom, while I sang, spun and inverted on it all at one go. Today this act is one of the most sought after act. When people around me saw how transformed & toned my body was, they approached me to teach, which led to Acro Polates being set up 2 1/2 years ago.

I even obtained a certfication from International Pole Dance Fitness Association and now the studio has at least 3 other certified teachers. I am not stopping at 42 and have gone on to learn and teach aerial silks and hoop. And yes, you have guessed it, I have introduced aerial hoop and silk acts in corporate gigs already."
