Shu Uemura's latest collection is with an adorable collaboration with one of Japan's most celebrated manga artists. Moyoco Anno is famous worldwide for her unique narrative voice that represents contemporary Japanese women into her manga comics. Moyoco came up with an unique approach ' toyko kamon girls' inspired by Japanese traditional art "kamon" - family emblem. She has created a series of sophisticated kamon crests called Tokyo Kamon Girls and Shu Umuera has taken these characters and beautifully arranged kamon and charming 5 kamon girls embellished on their beloved products. The 5 kamon girls are spread throughout the neighbourhood of Tokyo's megapolis-each reflecting the girls' idiosyncratic characters and lifestyles. | |
