If you’ve ever wondered how stars like Beyonce manage to have such perfect, gorgeous long hair, then you might be surprised to hear that many of them don’t. In fact, many of these beautiful women use lace front wigs, or even full lace wigs, to give them their flawless locks.

The difference between lace front wigs and ordinary wigs is the material onto which the hair is fastened. A traditional wig is almost always instantly noticeable, because the base material is bulky. Lace front wigs, however, are designed to blend almost seamlessly into your own hair and skin, which means no tell tale lines.

These types of wigs are designed to be used during normal activity, so they won’t restrict you, and they are often more comfortable than a weave or a regular wig. So if you want long, beautiful hair, and can’t wait to grow yours, why not consider a lace front wig?

When it comes to our skin, nature is generally not kind. As we age, lines, wrinkles, pigmentation spots and more seem to appear out of nowhere. The temptation is to plaster on more makeup in an attempt to cover these flaws, but the truth is, more makeup is not the answer. Finding the right makeup is.

Mature skin looks best when you use a foundation that reflects light. By creating a blank canvas that reflects light, you will draw attention away from lines and wrinkles, without having to cake your face with thick makeup.

The same goes for color choices. You want to use color cosmetics that reflect light, in order to counteract the dullness that comes with age. Paler shades, with a subtle luminescence, are the way to go when it comes to choosing colors.

You might be thinking that face specific self-tanner is simply a means of parting you from more of your money. The truth is, it is not. The skin on your face is different to the skin on the rest of your body. For the same reason that testing a foundation on your hand will not work, using your regular self-tanner on your face will not work.

Formulations for your face will take into account the oil, pores and other factors that make your face different, and you will end up with a golden glow rather than a tangerine look.

Just as you would when you apply self-tanner to your body, make sure that you exfoliate before you use self-tanner on your face. While moisturizing is optional, remember that self-tanner is likely to be smoother on moisturized skin.

There was a time when nail varnish was simple – a few shades, that all worked the same and very little choice. Not anymore!

These days, you get nail varnished with built in hardeners, which actually strengthen your nails while you wear them. Then there are the new scented varnishes that some manufacturers are bringing out. Nail varnish that has a subtle, fruity fragrance. Very clever.

My personal favorites are the fast drying polishes. These little beauties dry in a minute, and leave you free to carry on with your life. No more blowing on your hands until you faint. No more chipping and denting before you even leave the house. Sheer genius.

So, the next time you go shopping for nail varnish, make sure you look at all the options. Chances are, you’ll be amazed at the options!

Forget the classic French manicure! There’s a new version of two tone out there, and it’s hot, sexy, and striking!
When it comes to the newest in nails, if you want to be ahead of the pack, then a vertically applied two tone finish is one of the very best options you can choose. Getting it right is easier than you’d think too.

Pick two shades of nail color (the bolder the better I say!) Use the paler of the two to varnish your entire nail, and allow to dry completely. You can use tape that is relatively non sticky, like masking tape, to create a straight, vertical line on your nail (avoid anything that is too sticky, as it may take the top layer of your base coat off.)

Now paint the exposed section of your nail with a contrasting shade, allow to dry, and remove the tape. You’ll be left with a striking vertical split that will certainly turn heads!

If you have ever seen SPF sprays for hair on the shelves of your local salon or pharmacy shelf, you might bewondering whether it is worth the expense.

Consider, however, what the sun does to your skin. It dries it out, causes wrinkles, and plays havoc with the color. Well the same thing happens to your hair. The sun dries it out, and strips moisture. It also fades color, and since your hair, unlike your skin, does not produce its own moisture (the strands themselves are dead) you need all the help you can get.

A hair spray with SPF will do wonders for preserving your locks, retaining your color, and keeping your chemically treated hair in tiptop condition.

When it comes to bleached blonde hair, there are two types: brassy and brazen, and silky golden. The trouble is, whichever you happen to have, it will turn green no matter what, if you spend too long in chlorinated water.

The trick to reversing this color change is simple – make sure that your hair is conditioned, and in good condition all the time, and if you do find yourself with a greenish tinge in your locks, do not panic. Wash your hair as usual, and then use tomato juice as a rinse, to counter the green.

If you notice that there is still a remnant of green left in your hair, you may want to repeat this process until you have removed it all.

You may be wondering why you are always advised to exfoliate before using fake tan. The reason is simple: if you do not, the color will adhere to the dead skin that is on your body, and when it does eventually fall off, so will your tan.

Exfoliating is relatively easy, even if you do not have expensive products on hand. Simply use a body brush, or mix a little conditioner with salt, and scrub gently over your skin. Either one of these methods will remove the dead skin, and the potential for a dodgy tan!

For the same reason, you should ensure that you shave before applying fake tan – if you do not, your first shave will remove the top layer of your skin, and your tan with it!

Feeling perky all day really helps you to be super-productive in whatever it is you do, and there are a few simple ways to accomplish this. For breakfast, have a smoothie that is loaded with protein, which will give you a burst of energy almost immediately. Wear great make-up, and have a lunchtime body scrub, which will always leave you feeling fantastic. Drink at least one cup of green tea during the day, which will help you with detoxification.

Before you go to work in the morning, get up a little earlier, and do some sort of exercise, which will boost blood flow to the brain, and also make you feel more alert and energetic. Have a vigorous shower, see that your make-up is impeccable, and don your favorite outfit before heading for the office.
