Secrets of Breast Augmentation

I was fortunate to have been born into a family of women with more than adequate breast size, but I’ve got friends who struggle to fill an A cup, so I’ve heard a lot about breast augmentation over the years. For some reason, our femininity seems tied more to our breasts than anything else.
If you are considering breast augmentation, there are a few things you should know. Firstly, there are pros and cons to silicone and saline – silicone can be dangerous if it leaks, and is more likely to trigger ongoing foreign body response, leading to hardening of the tissue around the implant. It does feel softer though!
Saline is safe in the case of a leak, and has a milder foreign body response, but it is heavy. Then there’s the newer cell mimic version – lots of little silicone cells implanted. It’s very natural feeling, and the easiest to insert, but it is new, and therefore a bit of an unknown quantity.
Whichever you do choose, if you’re going to get breast implants, make sure you go to a great, reputable surgeon – there are lots of horror stories out there!
Secret tip # 63: Consider breast implants very carefully – swelling can take two years to disappear, and implants don’t come with a lifetime guarantee – chances are, you’ll need to replace them sometime or another!
