How to Apply the 80/20 Rule

I’m always on the lookout for ways to be healthier, look better, and stay younger, without having to do too much, or inconvenience myself too much. I know, I’m lazy, but then again, I’m also busy!
I’ve discovered yet another great, easy way to make sure that I manage to live my busy life, without doing too much damage to myself, and keeping my body from growing at an alarming rate.
It’s called the 80/20 rule, and basically, what it is, is that while you are required to be “good” (eat right, exercise, watch your alcohol intake and all the other things that are supposed to make you live longer and look better) for 80% of the time, you get a free pass for the other 20% of the time!
Fantastic news I think – it means you now have even more reason to be good during the week – when you’re working, and can’t really go wild anyway. If you do, you get to eat, drink and play as much as you want on the weekend!
Secret tip #30: Use the 80/20 rule to diet too – make sure that 80% of the food you eat is low fat, high fiber, and low calorie, and you can be a little more relaxed about the other 20% you eat. You have to have SOME fun after all!
