Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The pink ribbon month is here again! October is the month where millions of people come together in support of Breast Cancer research. This disease affects 10.4% of cancers worldwide.

 

Although breast cancer doesn’t just affect women solely, it affects more women than men, with a 100 times more women contracting it than men. Hence it is important that women of all ages go for mammograms. This service can be found at many polyclinics around the island.

 

The road to recovery for Cancer can be painful process that can affect both the patient and the people around them. To all cancer patients and their family and friends who are with them, stay strong and hold on.

 

This too shall pass.
