GET THAT HEALTHY GLEAM

A trip to the dentist’s in Singapore can easily cost you two blue notes, and with additional fillings and other dental care services, the price can go even higher than expected. Therefore, it’s truly and investment to care for your teeth on a daily basis. The first step to having perfect teeth is to of course brush them twice daily, brushing once in the morning, and another at night. The trick of it all is to brush your teeth in a circular motion, and gently, ensuring that your gums are not hurt in the cleansing process.

It’s also important to note that your diet plays an important role to your teeth, especially as you age. With the loss of calcium as women age (particularly for those who go through pregnancy) , hence its important to get more than enough of your dose of Calcium.  5 cups milk daily is the recommended portion of milk you should take. Not a fan of milk? You can get your dose from other sources such as soybean milk, kale, okra, broccoli, nuts, seeds, beans and seaweed.

Here’s a recipe for a delicious, easy to make, stir fry for you to get your calcium needs!

Calcium Fix Recipe

½ Cup of Chicken Broth

1 Teaspoon of Sesame Sauce

1 Tablespoon of light Soya Sauce

2 Tablespoon minced gingerroot

3 cloves of garlic, sliced

4 cups of broccoli florets

1 red pepper, sliced

400g extra firm tofu

1 cup of sliced mushrooms

½ cup of cashews

Directions

Start frying garlic first till it starts to brown a little, followed by adding in the minced gingerroot. Pour in the rest of the vegetables and tofu. Pour in Chicken Broth and drizzle in Sesame Sauce and soya sauce for flavouring. Then stir Fry till vegetables are tender.

Serve with a steaming bowl of rice.
