Getting Cozy with Jourdan Lee

Actor Jourdan Lee trained at Actors Center Australia, where he acquired the ability to act and perform professionally at international standards. His lead role in local television action-drama, "Point of Entry", has certainly earned him celebrity status in Singapore. Jourdan also finds the time to work on his physique and boasts a musculature many aspire to. He does this primarily though engaging in martial arts. An expert in Shaolin Kung Fu (tiger style), Taekwondo (black belt), nun-chucku, staff and butterfly knives, he is also one of only two certified Asian stuntmen in Australia. Oh yes, and he plays the piano too!

What was the first thing in your mind this morning?

I need a glass of water.

Which other Singaporean talents would you like to work with, and why?

Adrian Pang (he's a veteran) and  Rebecca Lim  (she seems talented and she's cute).

A hypothetical question: If you weren’t an actor, what other profession would you be pursuing?

Being an NBA basketball player... if I had my grandad's height . My grandad was 6'3" and my grandma was 4'11", it was an arranged marriage.

If CozyCot were a famous Hollywood actress, who would she be and why?

Julia Roberts.   She's intelligent, witty, savvy and adorable!

Who do you consider your idol/mentor/inspiration?
My parents.  They sacrificed so much to give their children a better life.

What is stardom to you and what is your measure of success for yourself?

I'm not really a big fan of stardom.  I would much rather remain out of the spotlight when I'm not working.  Although, I do think it's important to use stardom for the right reasons e.g. motivating people, bringing attention to worthwhile causes.

My measure of success is being able to pick and choose my acting projects for major movies.

How do you motivate yourself to do what you do?

Always connect to the thing that inspires you to do what you do.  It acts as a lighthouse during times of uncertainty.  I have a intrinsic sense of where I'm headed.  I watch a lot of movies (you can learn a great deal from watching talented actors). Always know where you come from and have a driving force based on something deep within yourself  **hint, acting for fame is not one of them...

What do you consider to be the greatest miracle in your life so far?

My parents' love.  There have been many grand miracles in my life... I am eternally grateful to God for providing them.

What was it like hosting CozyCot’s 9th Birthday Bash?

A big blast!   A lot of activities to get through, but we had great ground support!
