Eyeliners play a paramount role in accentuating your eyes, but oftentimes you either end up with a panda look due to smudges or your eyeliner starts fading halfway through the day. Eye primers, loose powder and eye shadows are the secrets to holding your eyeliner in all day. After coating your eye area with foundation and before applying your eyeliner, prime your eyelids first with a makeup primer. Simply apply a thin layer over your eyelids for a stronger hold of your eye makeup. Remember also to make a right selection of the eyeliner. Liquid or gel liners provide the most intense colour, on top of their smudge-proof quality. For optimum long-lasting effect, go waterproof, though a little more effort is required in the removal. When lining your eyes, place your mirror slanted at forty five degrees so that your eyes are looking down at the mirror. This makes drawing easier and prevents wet eyeliner from getting on to the top of your crease line. Dusting on an eye shadow that is of a similar colour to your eyeliner over your drawn line works wonders in keeping your lower eye area clean for the entire day. Use an angled eye shadow brush or a sponge applicator to do the job, and always remember to tap off any excess eye shadow before applying or you will end up with a messy eye makeup. Alternatively, you may also pat on some translucent loose powder to hold the eyeliner better.
