Ono & Lennon pair up for U.S. TV performance Story intro {JOHN LENNON}s widow {YOKO ONO} and their son {SEAN} sent U.S. TV audiences back in time on Wednesday (30Sep09) - with a performance from her first album as {THE PLASTIC ONO BAND} in 36 years. Story body Ono - who formed the act with the late Beatle in 1969 before the fab four dissolved - sang from her new record Bet -  My Head And The Sky on daytime talk show The View. Lennon, who produced the record, stepped into his fathers shoes and accompanied his mother on piano. Speaking to The View hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Sherrie Shephard and Joy Behar, Sean discussed his own music career and life in the shadow of the late Beatles legend. He said, I know when (people) see me, they see my father. I cant help (that) I look like him, I look like her (Ono). But honestly I dont play music in terms of trying to compete with my dad because I dont think I could play if I did that. But I take comfort in knowing Im not the only (musician) who will never be as successful as the Beatles. Onos last release as The Plastic Ono Band was 1973s Feeling the Space.
