**File Photo** RICHARD RAISES GLASS FROM OWN VINEYARD Enduring British pop singer SIR CLIFF RICHARD is toasting success away from the music industry with the launch of his very own wine. The singer promoted the Portugal rose at his Algarve estate yesterday (17MAY06), under the brand name Vida Nova. And Richard admits the wine-making process could keep him out of the studio for months because he is determined to maintain a hands-on approach to the beverage business. He says, "I get into the tanks when they have to scrape some of the skins out. I always volunteer for the first job that morning. I get up early, shower and scoop it out. "So somebody does get wine that my toes have squashed." The 2000 vintage bottles will be available at British supermarkets, but Richard realises the competition will be stiff: "I try to drink only my own wines now but I mustn't get too prima donna about it because there are a lot of good wines around."
