Gabourey sidibe disappointed by joan cusack meeting

Actress GABOUREY SIDIBE was disappointed after meeting her screen idol JOAN CUSACK at a party, because the star urged her to give up acting.

The Precious star, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role as an abused, obese teen in the film, was introduced to Cusack at an industry bash, and was thrilled to talk with the actress, whose career she had admired for years. However, Sidibe was left heartbroken when the School of Rock star told her she would struggle in image-obsessed Hollywood and advised her to walk away from her acting dream. Sidibe says, "What celebrity was I disappointed by? Oh, and it's not in a mean way, because I know that she meant well. "I met Joan Cusack, who is my favourite favourite - I love her - but, it was before I became (famous) or whatever. I was at some industry party, and she says, 'Are you an actress?' And I said, 'Yeah!' And she says, 'Oh honey, you should really quit the business, it's so image-conscious.'"
