Six months after the Costa Concordia sank off the coast of Isola del Giglio, holidaymakers spend time in the rocks and water in front of the wreckage. The salvage operation to recover the vessel is expected to cost 300 million dollars and will involve building a platform underneath the hull and refloating the 290m long cruise ship using airtight tanks, before towing her in to an Italian port.
