Lily cole: 'my bullying hell'

British model LILY COLE was bullied for having red hair when she was at school.

The model/actress endured a tough time when she was a youngster because she was constantly teased over her hair colour - and she insists her teachers should have done more to stop the taunts. Cole, 24, tells Live magazine, "I remember feeling very insecure. When I'd meet people, I would think they wouldn't like me - that was an actual thought process - because I'm a redhead. It's absolutely absurd. Teachers often let it happen because there isn't a stigma around it in the same way there is, quite rightly, about racism. Any form of bullying should be stamped on because children are so fragile and it affects them." However, Lily has no problem with her locks now, adding, "The irony is that now I love my hair."
