Naomi campbell calls for peace during bethlehem birthday trip

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has called for peace in the Middle East during a special trip to Bethlehem to mark her birthday.

The British beauty turned 42 on Tuesday (22May12) and celebrated by flying to the Palestinian city and taking a tour of the West Bank area. Campbell also lit candles at the Church of the Nativity, where Christians believe Jesus was born, and enjoyed dinner with friends at Casa Nova Palace Restaurant, according to reports. And she took time out from her celebrations to comment on the political issues in the surrounding regions. She told a Palestinian TV station, "As much travelling as I've done, I've never come here. I'm happy to be here. Weapons and war, greed and oil... I hope it all stops. I care about health, about good vibrations, not destruction."
