Queen on a Coffee Bean! To celebrate Douwe Egberts support of The Big Jubilee Lunch, Willard Wigan (MBE) carved the Queens Head into this coffee bean, so small that it can't be seen with the naked eye. Measuring a minute 2mm, Willards microscopic master piece of the Queens head is so small it is invisible to the naked eye and is only visible by using a magnifying glass. Willard, who slows his heartbeat and works bet - beats to avoid hand tremors while working on his mini-masterpieces, took over 4 weeks to create this extraordinary commemorative sculpture. Willard Wigan, who has been honoured by HM. Queen Elizabeth II with an MBE for his services to art, is known all around the world for his minuscule sculptures and uses tiny homemade tools and paints with a hair plucked from a housefly's back to carve the microscopic figures.
