Secrets of the Beret

Berets have a certain quirky charm about them. They can make even the plainest outfit seem interesting.  There are a few different types of beret to choose from, making owning a number of them worthwhile. The beret is bowl-shaped and by default made of a wool or felt and as such, are best suited for cold weather wear.  The beret is often worn as part of military uniforms.  These berets are stiffer and made of felt.  You can make these more decorative and less formal by having a leather rim attached to the base of the beret. Wool knit berets are softer than their felt counterparts and are available in a variety of patterns and colors.  They provide your head with nice, cozy warmth, without looking slovenly. The "rasta' beret is a larger, chunkier woolen beret that hangs down low on the wearer's head.  This is popular amongst Rastafarians and female college students.  It is warm and comfortable and goes well with a bohemian chic look.
