If you, like me, are allergic to workouts. If your closet is devoid of anything that may contain lycra, and if your idea of sport is a to watch the game on TV, then you’ll probably love what I’m about to tell you.
Just by replacing your chair with an exercise ball, you can work out while you sit. Yup. No crunches, pushups, or sweating. Just sitting at your desk, or anywhere else, on an exercise ball, helps work all your muscles.
In case you’re wondering how it can possibly be, basically, what happens is that the ball destabilizes you, meaning you need to work harder to stay upright. That work requires your muscles to contract, which is where the workout comes from. Simple, but effective.
Not only can this ball help tone your muscles, but it also helps strengthen your back, important if you, like me, live in heels. As an added bonus, an exercise ball is cheap, so you can save on that gym membership that never seems to get the use it should…
