I’ve noticed an interesting phenomenon. That is, that even in the most sophisticated and stylish homes I’ve visited, often, the garage looks a little like it’s been hit by a hurricane. If you’re dying of shame because your garage looks more like a jumble sale than a storage area, or because you can just about manage to squeeze your car in there, but nothing else, then read on for some garage organizing tips! Your first mission has to be to get yourself some shelving. Readymade shelving is fairly cheap, and easy to assemble. If you buy a variety of storage boxes, jars and other items at the same time, you should have somewhere to put everything. Remember the old saying ‘a place for everything and everything in its place?’ Then pull out your car, and move all the stuff that lies around to the centre of the floor. Separate it into items to keep, items to throw away, and items to give away. Throw the garbage directly into the rubbish bin, and place the things you want to keep into their new locations. That should leave you only with the things to give away, and the job should be done!
