If you, like most of us girls, fell in love with Morocco in the iconic movie, Casablanca, then there’s a good chance you’ll want to visit it at some point. Here are a few hints and tips. Morocco lies on the northern most coastline of Africa, and is a predominantly Muslim country. Casablanca is of course the best known city in Morocco, but others, like Rabat, and Marrakech, are well worth a visit, as is Fez, which is one of the largest surviving medieval cities in the world. Agadir will appeal to beach lovers, and it’s a little more modern and less interested in history and culture than other parts of the country, and Volubilis, a huge and impressive Roman ruin, just outside Meknes, is another must see. Make sure you visit the Hammams, which are traditional steam baths, and other than that, have fun exploring the fascinating history and culture of this hot and dry country.
