Why You Should Visit Salzburg, Mozarts Birthplace.

Of course, this city in Austria, immediately makes one think of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. However, there is a lot more to this city than music. For instance, there are so many museums, churches, and the zoo to see, to name but a few of the many attractions, including a giant chessboard for chess lovers. There are ice caves to visit, the Bavarian mountains, and the salt mines. If you love operas, concerts, and the theatre, then you really must coincide your holiday with the world famous Salzburg Festival, where you will be able to enjoy all of these to your hearts delight. Restaurants, cafes, and pubs are everywhere, as are hostels, hotels, and camping, for those looking for accommodation. Also, during your stay, you can visit the Alps, which are very close to Salzburg, and something that shouldn’t be missed.
