Grand Canyon National Park is a United States National Park as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is located in Arizona, as is one of the great attractions in the United States. There are several camping options in the park, as well as hotels and restaurants. The Grand Canyon is an absolutely magnificent sight. It is a massive canyon carved over millions of years by the Colorado River. The rock layers of the Grand Canyon show little signs of wear, and are almost perfectly preserved. There is nowhere else on earth where you can see so many layers of the earth’s history in such pristine condition. There are also plenty of animals in the park, the most famous being the California Condor, that can ,on occasion, be seen flying near Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim. Of course, with an area this large and spectacular, there really is plenty to see and do – all of which will leave you with memories that you’ll carry with you forever.
