Artist and singer rolf harris adds to his royal accolades
Co-hosting QUEEN ELIZABETH II's Diamond Jubilee concert in London last week (ends08Jun12) has served artist/TV presenter and hitmaker ROLF HARRIS well - he has been awarded one of Australia's highest honours as part of Her Majesty's Birthday Honours list.

The Two Little Boys singer has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia - the equivalent of the U.K.'s Order of the British Empire - for his distinguished service to the performing and visual arts and his charity work. The TV favourite, who once painted the Queen's portrait, has already been honoured as a Member of the British Empire (MBE) and he also has an OBE and CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) to his name. Harris says, "Although I love the U.K., I still think of myself as an Australian. My mum and dad would have been bursting with pride if they were here today." Harris is one of 762 Aussies included in this year's (12) Queen's Birthday Honours List, which also includes novelist Peter Carey.
