Azealia banks deletes twitter account

Up-and-coming musician AZEALIA BANKS has deleted her Twitter.com page after deciding the microblogging site makes her "entirely too accessible".

In a message to fans announcing her departure from Twitter, Banks also reveals she wants to be seen as "a vocalist" rather than a rapper. In a post on her tumblr.com page entitled "no longer wishing to be a rapper", she writes, "i never was... and as soon as i started paying attention to bulls**t urban media, i started getting myself in trouble. From now on i'm a vocalist, and will not be associating myself with the 'rap game'... or whatever the f**k that means... "no more twitter for me... it makes me entirely too accessible. Catch me on tumblr... it'll be more interesting." Banks' departure from Twitter comes just days after it was revealed she had ditched Lady Gaga's manager Troy Carter, less than two months after signing to his roster.
