Bono attends artist louis le brocquys funeral
U2 stars BONO and THE EDGE were among the mourners paying their respects to celebrated Irish artist LOUIS LE BROCQUY at a memorial on Saturday (28Apr12).

The rockers joined Irish President Michael D Higgins, Deliverance director John Boorman and poet Seamus Heaney at the service in St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland. Bono, who commissioned Le Brocquy to paint his portrait in 1990, admits he is heartbroken over the tragic loss. He tells the Sunday Independent, "What can I say? I'm going to miss him. What a man. I'm actually stuck for words." The self-taught painter died in Dublin on Wednesday (25Apr12) after a long battle with ill health.
