Contostavlos uses fame as id

British singer TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS once used her fame as a source of identification to buy alcohol - by presenting a shopkeeper with a magazine featuring her on the cover.

The N-Dubz star had forgotten her formal ID during a shopping trip and was banned from buying wine, until she proved who she was to the man behind the counter. She tells Britain's The Sun, "I didn't have my ID so he wouldn't give it to me. There were all these mags with me on the front cover so I pulled out one, slapped it on the desk and said, 'Look, there's my ID. Can I have the wine?' He gave it to me."
