Diamond plate frontman pulls out of tour to support sick mother

Rocker JON MACAK has been forced to pull out of DIAMOND PLATE's current U.S. tour to support his "very ill" mother.

The bassist and lead vocalist has ruled himself out of all of the thrash metal band's upcoming gigs this week (ends13May12) as he deals with the family emergency. In a statement, he says, "I am very sad to say that I will not be able to be a part of the last six Killfest dates. I will be flying home to Chicago... to be with my mother who is very ill and needs my support. There is a chance that she does not have much time left, so I want to be by her side as much as possible. The rest of the band will finish the tour without me and I want to thank everyone for their support and understanding." Tour manager Dan Valente will take on bass and vocal duties for the remaining gigs.
