Ed sheeran brushes off rehab rumours

British singer/songwriter ED SHEERAN has laughed off rumours he's pulled out of his North American tour dates to check into rehab.

The A Team hitmaker announced this week (begs07May12) that he will no longer be supporting rockers Snow Patrol on their current trek across the U.S. and Canada as he's had to return to England for "personal reasons". His sudden cancellation has reportedly prompted U.K. tabloid editors to suggest that some sort of substance abuse treatment is to blame for the scrapped shows, but the star insists the claims are not true - he's tending to a family matter instead. In a Twitter.com post on Tuesday (08May12), he writes, "Apparently media are running a story tomorrow about how im coming home early to enter rehab, im missing 4 days of a tour to see my family... "But yeah, no rehab just yet, but i am going to legoland in a few weeks, so might need it after that".
