Katy perry unveils new gothic image

Pop star KATY PERRY has channelled her inner MARILYN MANSON and MORTICIA ADDAMS for a dramatic image overhaul.

The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker is famous for her bright, colourful outfits and playful candy-inspired accessories, but she's now ditched the cupcake dresses and electric blue hair for a spooky new look. She wowed onlookers at the NARM Music Biz 2012 Awards in Culver City, California on Thursday night (10May12) by stepping out wearing a floor-length black gown with transparent stripes and sporting deep purple locks, smoky eye make-up, and plum-coloured lipstick. And Perry's dramatic new image is clearly bringing her good luck - she scooped the Artist of the Year award at the prizegiving.
