Lily allen calls a truce after soldier sends her flowers
LILY ALLEN has reached a truce with a British Army soldier after he sent her flowers and apologised for a controversial comment he made about the pop star on Twitter.com.

The British singer became embroiled in controversy on Tuesday (10Jul12) when she reported Harry Wilson, a Scottish sniper who tweeted her the message, "All the best with your new family just seen you bought s**t I mean adopted a child from Africa." Allen alleged the remark was racially offensive, prompting military officials to launch an investigation into the matter. The Smile hitmaker then threatened to take a break from the microblogging website after she was hit with a barrage of abuse from followers who backed Wilson. But just hours after announcing plans for a Twitter hiatus, Allen returned to her page to tell fans Wilson has since made amends with flowers and a written apology. She writes, "I have just received some flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson, which I accept. I hope we can all now move on. Thank you."
