Linkin park partners with united nations to help haiti

Rockers LINKIN PARK have teamed up with United Nations officials in an effort to help supply Haitian families with clean energy sources.

The group met with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday (08Nov11) to discuss their new partnership and together they brainstormed ways to replace kerosene, charcoal, and wood with other more sustainable power sources, which are less detrimental to the environment. This isn't the first time the New Divide hitmakers have reached out in support of the earthquake-ravaged country - bassist Dave Farrell jetted to the troubled nation in April (11) in a bid to rally donations and back a new campaign to stomp out violence and crime.
