Lionel richie urges nicole richie and joel madden not to move down under

LIONEL RICHIE is urging his daughter NICOLE RICHIE not to take her kids and move to Australia with husband JOEL MADDEN after he landed a job Down Under.

Good Charlotte rocker Madden is now working away from his California-based family after accepting a role on the Aussie version of TV talent show The Voice. Soul star Richie is glad his son-in-law is enjoying his new job, but he doesn't want him to relocate his family there as it would be too far to travel to see his grandchildren, Harlow, four, and Sparrow, two. Richie tells Ninemsn.com.au, "Joel is just in love with Australia. This is a love affair. Every time I talk to him he can't stop raving about how great it is in Australia. I love the place too, but I don't want them to move there. I keep reminding them how far it is for grandad to travel to see the grandkids."
