Lovato in talks to join u.s. x factor - report

Teenage pop idol DEMI LOVATO could find herself sitting next to BRITNEY SPEARS on THE X FACTOR judging panel if reports about her joining the show are true.

According to sources, the Disney star is being courted as the fourth judge on the upcoming second season of the hit U.S. show. Insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter that Lovato and Spears will replace ousted judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul on the show. TV bosses and representatives for series creator Simon Cowell have refused to confirm or deny the latest reports, but an announcement is expected in the coming weeks as auditions for the new season of the show begin at the end of the month (May12).
