Streisand re-signs with columbia to mark 50th year with label
BARBRA STREISAND is set to celebrate her 50th year as a Columbia Records artist by signing a new deal with label bosses.

Already the longest serving woman with the Sony Music-owned label, Streisand is second only to Tony Bennett on the company's lifelong talent roster. The singer released her first album as a Columbia artist in 1963. A statement from Streisand reads, "From the day Goddard Lieberson signed me almost 50 years ago, Columbia Records has been my recording home, and I am thrilled to continue that partnership for many years to come."
