The wiggles founders set to step down

The wiggles founders set to step down
Three founding members of hit Australian entertainers THE WIGGLES are to leave the group.

Jeff Fatt, Greg Page and Murray Cook founded the act in 1991 with Anthony Field, and have enjoyed stellar success, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide and regularly topping Australia's highest paid entertainers list. They have decided to step down following The Wiggles' 2012 tour, with Field deciding to continue the group with a new line-up, including the act's first female member Emma Watkins, as well as Lachlan Gillespie and Simon Pryce. A statement from the group reads, "We've been entertaining children around the world for 21 years and it's important that we plan for the future so that The Wiggles can keep wiggling in the years to come." The news comes just months after Page returned to the line-up after stepping down in 2006 due to illness.
