Ucla college bosses defend scholarship for sean combs son
Officials at the University of California, Los Angeles have defended their decision to give rap mogul and entrepreneur SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS' son Justin a full athletic scholarship.

The promising American football star, 18, will become a Bruin later this year (12) after winning a place at the college, but critics believe his multi-millionaire dad should be footing the bill for the teenager's education, which will be funded by a $54,000 (£33,750) grant. UCLA spokesman Ricardo Vasquez tells the Los Angeles Times the college has a "robust financial aid programme", and adds the money used for merit-based athletic scholarships was funded by "ticket sales, corporate partnerships, media contracts and private donations". He says, "There is a big separation bet - financial aid based on need and how that’s funded and how athletic scholarships are funded and awarded to students."
