You me at six lead kerrang! nominations

YOU ME AT SIX are leading the 2012 Kerrang! Awards nominations list in five categories, including best British band.

The rockers, from Surrey, England, will go up against Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, Lostprophets and Iron Maiden to be named the best homegrown act by editors of the British magazine. Readers also voted to land You Me At Six on the shortlist for the top album and best live band, as well as two best single nods. Frontman Josh Fransceschi says, "To be up for best British band four years in a row is just insane. The people at the awards are going to think there's a problem with the slide show when our two songs come up in a row (for best single)." 30 Seconds To Mars, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, A Day To Remember and letlive will battle it out to be crowned best international band, while the new villain of the year category includes Justin Bieber, Simon Cowell and One Direction. The Kerrang! ceremony will take place on 7 June (12).
