Yearwood's mother loses cancer battle

Country star TRISHA YEARWOOD is in mourning following the death of her mother.

Gwen Yearwood, who helped the singer write her successful cookbooks, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen: Recipes From My Family to Yours and Home Cooking With Trisha Yearwood: Stories and Recipes to Share with Family and Friends, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday (01Oct11). She was 73. Trisha and her sister Beth were with the retired teacher when she died.
