The Secrets of Stomach Ache
Sometimes stomach ache is a symptom of gastroenteritis, when it occurs normally just before a bowel movement. It can also be cause by over-eating, but stomach ache does not always mean that there is trouble in the stomach. If your child has tonsillitis, or other infections, the belly can also become painful. Of course, appendicitis could also be another cause. The pain usually starts in the middle of the stomach, before settling on the right side. It is rare in young children, but can be serious, so get medical help urgently. When children are worried about something, this too can cause them to develop a stomach ache. If your child has a stomach ache and a headache at the same time, this could be a form of migraine.
