Alec baldwin to host anti-fracking screening event
Actor ALEC BALDWIN is taking a stand to prevent the potential contamination of water sources in his native New York by hosting a special screening of controversial Oscar-nominated documentary GASLAND.

The environmental film highlights the ramifications of natural gas in America's water supply due to the industry's use of hydraulic fracturing, aka fracking, a technique which critics claim can contaminate water from the ground and put air quality at risk. And the 30 Rock star hopes to raise awareness about the anti-fracking campaign on 2 June (12) when he hosts the What the Frack? event in his mother Carol's hometown of Syracuse. Baldwin isn't the only celebrity to voice his concerns about the natural drilling technique - The Avengers star Mark Ruffalo and actress Melissa Leo are expected to attend a rally in Albany, New York on 15 May (12) to draw attention to the campaign.
