So you can’t afford a designer wedding dress? Why not consider a vintage one instead? Often, people advertise second hand or vintage dresses in the newspaper, or online, or you could visit a second hand or vintage store to view plenty of options.

 

Of course, when you choose a vintage dress, you need to apply a little imagination to the task – you might not find the dress that exactly meets your needs and the picture you have in your mind, but that’s easy to fix.

 

If the basic style, and the design, grabs you, but there are minor changes you want done, find a dress maker to alter it to your specifications. If you find a plain creation that fits like a dream, and looks great, but you like a little more embellishment, then why not ask someone to add beadwork, lace or other items to the basic dress, and make it your own? A vintage dress will be unique, one of a kind, and if you add your own style, you’ll still be the belle of the ball.
