    Ear-piercing

Are you referring to normal ear-piercing on the ear-lobes or beyond the ear-lobes? These are two different piercings. Normal ear-piercing can swiftly be done with the usual piercing equipment that looks like a gun. Body piercing is done with a needle.

What kind of piercing are you intending to get?

i did mine at 77th street before (no infections for that), isabella (twice, two holes has been there since primary school and 2 of them got infected when i was in secondary school shortly after i peirced them so i let them closed up) and at a private doctor (mum was paranoid about having too many ear holes so she forced me to go to her friend and repeirced my second 2 holes)

basically isabella's expensive (i think it might be because of their studs?) and i think bits and pieces and 77th street is relatively safe and affordable (alot of my friends did them there without any problems)

isabella's do give/sell bottles of alcohol to prevent infections (very useful especially when i get infections and a little goes a long way) while bits and pieces just give a small bottle of liquid (supposedly to prevent infections but i don't see any difference)

most places are safe. ear lobes are the easiest and least likely to become infected, as long as you avoid touching them!

try a place that specialises in piercings if you wanna be safe - primitive and the tattoo place in Annex for example. or else, somewhere like 77th St and Bits and Pieces like Joanna suggested is fine.

dont go to isabella, unless you like their earrings. they're a ripoff!

isabella's is really expensive. More than $50 if I remember correctly. Basically the piercing is free (or so they say) but you have to purchase their earrings which cost around that much.

i got my first pair of ear holes at isabella. ended up getting infected so i let them closed up. second time i did it there it was alright. but i did think they were too expensive so i got my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc holes all at 77th street. never had any problems with infection so i would say they are pretty safe.

my grandmother pierced my first ear holes at home many years ago - she used a sewing needle (disinfected) with some oily thingy...the pain was sharp but lasted for a short while, she was very accurate and quick. actually, i didnt' want to let her do it but she got really offended and told me how the girls in her village would all go to her and pay her to get their ears pierced back long ago in china and how she pierced all my aunts' ears...so i just let her do it and well, i've to say she's pretty good - the holes are very very small, never got infected and my ears do not look pierced when i don't put on any earrings

my second ear piercings are from isabella
