      Vincent longo's water canvas is good. Shiseido also makes 1 call hydra-compact, the coverage is better than water canvas.

                I would say Vincent Longo Water Canvas. But sadly, it's no longer in Singapore

                  Definitely VLWC. It was my HG until they pulled out of Singapore. Sonia Rykiel 'tofu' foundation is pretty close but can't compare to VLWC. I tried a sample of the Cosme Decorte version and I find it a tad too thick. I remember Shiseido has a similar one too.

                    Is the Covermark Soft ES Pact also a water-based compact?

                      Oh yes that one looks like a water-based compact too. Should test run this soon

                        IPSA also has a water based compact called Whitening Aqua Pack. Although nothing beats VLWC, I like this as well. Medium coverage and has SPF17 (iirc).

                          ooohhh, this sounds intriguing. what exactly is so special about a water-based compact?

                            great timing this thread. i'm almost finishing my VLWC and am on the lookout for a replacement too.

                            so, from the suggestions so far, there's:
                            * IPSA Aqua Pack
                            * Covermark Soft ES Pact
                            * Shiseido Hydra Compact
                            * Cosme Decorte
                            * Sonia Rykiel

                            qn: how does MAC Studiotech fare in comparison?
