I walked past this little manicure and massage shop near my house this morning and they carry Dermological!! I am surely tempted to try! Maybe I'll pop by for a massage tomorrow and check out the products ( as well as the price) and feedback.. =P

i hv started on the multivit on my undereye area hoping to min lines, so far it's not doing it yet after 3 days but i sure like the texture & smoothness. i sure hope this works on my stubborn lines. or do i hv to ask for more samples to try out before i see the effect?

i hv samples of the daily microfoliant & some intensive eye care but have yet to try them...

          a qn tho...
shld i use microfoliant after cleanser? or is this a cleanser on its own? it looks like my washing powder but the SA was telling me it forms a paster rather than lather like my Fancl washing powder. any regulars who can help explain this to me? thx!

I finish the whole tube of Multi-Vit but it only helps a little with the lines. I like the texture and the scent though so I might purchase another tube.

I used my microfoliant after removing my make-up with my cleansing oil. I never use it as a cleanser on its own though I don't see why not. Its very gentle and just as fine as Fancl washing powder, may be just a little coarser. Love this powder and I find it better than Fancl in terms of removing dead cells. It gives u a glow.

but meow, the SA was telling me not to use on my eye area! after my cleansing oil, without cleanser before this microfoliant, wld my eye area be totally cleansed?

forgot to say i use multivit on my lip area & so far edges are less dry!

The cleansing oil is good enough for me to remove all the eye make-up. I have no problem with that. On certain days, usually during my breakout period, I would use the Dermalogical Ultra Calming cleanser after the cleansing oil all over my face plus the eye area. Then I will follow up with Microflant. Did u try the ultra calming cleanser? U can use this on the eye area as well and it is very gentle.

                  Dermalogica Active Moist knockoff?

                  Hi there

I am currently using the active moist and find it very good .
                  But SO EX!
so wondering if anyone got recommendations for a similar product, that is, light weight moisturizer. Just like active moist. and must be suitable for combination skin.

                  Thanks!

I like Active Moist too. Very light and yet hydrating for oily skin. How abt Avene? Avene stuff are light and good for sensitive skin. U can also try Ayura. See Avene and Ayura' thread for some recommendations.

                      dermologica

Anyone use this line of products, if so, which one? opinions needed! I bought the starter kit for normal/combi skin but I'm still withholding judgement on it. I'd love to love it though - and if I do, it will determine with facialist I go to!

Yes.. i second the Daily Microfoliant too !

Works very well on my sensitive skin becoz the grains are so fine and so will not cause any irritation.

And it's really gentle enuff to be used even daily... though i try to use it once every alternate day. It always makes my face smoother.. and look brighter! My skin-saver when my clogged-pores days are near!

My only rant would be the hefty price-tag :puke:

me, me! Dermalogica is one of my fave brands, here's a list of products I've tried:

Dermal Clay Cleanser- very good for oily/acne prone skin. every effective and cleans very well, but combi skin should alternate with a gentle cleanser on some days. alternatively may use it as a mask.

Special Cleansing Gel- so-so cleanser, a little goes a long way.

Ultracalming Cleanser- gel-cream cleanser, one of my fave makeup remover(until I found fancl cleansing oil). very mild yet effective. good enuf to be used alone w/o foaming cleanser.

Daily Microfoliant- a super duper mild exfoliant that makes you sneeze if you accidentally sniff it.

Multi-Active Toner- so-so, nothing to rave or rant about.

Gentle Cream Exfoliant- superb product, its an AHA based exfoliant you leave on your face and wash it off a while later. exfoliates well w/o hurting your skin.

Active Moist- so-so, more suitable for normal skin than oily skin

Oil Control Lotion- good for only acne prone and oily skin. too drying for combi

Skin Smoothing Cream- I use this on my neck, too rich for face.

Skin Refining Masque- helps purify your skin. excellent for all skin types.

MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque- another good product, I use it as a treatment mask once a week.

Total Eye Care- helps to moisturise eye area and firm slight wrinkles.

Gentle Soothing Booster- more suitable for normal skin than oily skin

Skin Renewal Booster- good for all skin types, too much might be drying tho.

Specific Skin Concentrate- I use it as a booster beneath my moisturiser on oily skin days.

medicated clearing gel is the best pimple gel i've ever tried. can only use at night due to the acid content (i think it's salicylic acid) but it really clears the pimple overnight, like it's GONE the next morning. works on cystic pimples too but those big nasty ones take a few days to subside with this stuff. expensive tho' but not sure how much coz i swapped for the full-size; Leonard Drake gives out samples of this stuff which they will tell u to use on all problem areas like clogged pores etc. but i find that it's too harsh for me, works best on pimples
