I tried doing a search for Haach and only found 6 posts! And most of them only went for consultations. Has anyone actually tried the facials?

My friends and I are quite intrigued (sucker for advertisements!). I just called them and was told that they now have a promotional package of 15 facials for S$495, which includes a deep cleansing facial, a scrub, extraction.. and something I didn't manage to catch.

I'd usually go for DRX, but cotters will probably know by now that they're not the most relaxing/pampering of facials despite being very very good, and we're looking for a little treat to pamper ourselves.

So reviews of the actual Haach facial experience will be much much appreciated!!!

Have only heard negative things about them: that they don't do a very good job, and that they are quite pushy.

I went to Haach once two years ago, and I never went back again.

Firstly, like some of you have pointed out, the people there are extremely pushy. I was still a student at the time, and told the BA so, but she still tried to make me sign up for a $600++ package. Also tried to sell me a whole range of products, when all I wanted was a simple facial.

I only did one session in the end, didn't go for the package, and I'm so glad I didn't.

Despite their talk of catering for your skin type, they massaged my oily skin so much that I had massive breakouts for more than a month after that! Skin has never really been the same since, though it may just be a coincidence.

At either rate, bad bad bad experience. Will never go to Haach for facial ever again.

thanks girls! saved me a bundle.

pushy SAs dont bug me because i wont say 'yes' (simply no money!), but if they don't do a good job, then it's a definite no! thanks!!!

Xue, if you're looking for a pampering experience and good service, try Clarins at Wheelock place (provided your skin takes well to clarins of course). You won't be disappointed. One thing to note tho- they don't do extractions, instead, they believe in facial masages to purge toxins and reduce clogs, etc.

wow.. i'm one of those really rare ones who actually did enjoy myself with haach.

I was with them about 1-2 years back. My skin was absolutely horrible (acne, scars, pits) and I got sucked in by their advertising.

I went to the one at Orchard Emerald (or is it Mid-Point Orchard?). Anyway, the lady there was Yizhen. She was very sincere and assigned me to this other lady called Mint (a.k.a. a-min).

I signed a package of 10-15 normal facials (can't remember how many exactly). My pimples began to stop coming up after going every week. The part I liked was that they always gave me the same person doing my facial since she knew exactly how my skin was.

The extraction hurt like hell but everything else was just nice. My main aim was to see results and Yizhen made sure I did.

Later they asked me to sign up for another package. I signed 6 sessions. This one was more expensive since it was a treatment one. It lightened my scars visibly after those few sessions but I was too broke to continue.

After I stopped going there, my acne stopped for quite a while, till I started getting back into my bad habits (touching face with hands, etc.). I got to know about Nuskin which worked, and still works.. but too high end already. But that's a whole new story.

I've seen at least one or two pushy sales people at Haach Mid-point orchard but as long as you say "no" it's fine. Yizhen and Mint were the best at Haach. No pushy tactics whatsoever.

I have acne prone skin. 4 years ago my skin got really bad and I couldnt take antibiotics due to bad gastric problems....I went to Haach. I was pushed into (ok, I was tempted as they promised results) but they were really pushy and use hard-sell tactics. I paid $1500 (after they told me they gave me huge discounts as I told them that it was my entire life savings) for about 12-15 sessions (i cant remember). I went for 7sessions and it was the most traumatic experience of my life. My skin went from bad to horrendous. Everytime after my facial, I had to look at my toes, run to taxi stand and hop on the cab and hoped that no one saw me. It takes about 3-5 days before swelling and redness goes down. And my skin got so irritated and infected that more and more breakouts appear . After the seventh time, and after talking to them I gave up and stopped going. My face is more important than the money that I've spent. I comtemplated going to CASE as I heard that CASE handled several similar cases re. beauty salons and I also heard that Haach is one of the salons that has got lots of complaints against.
My advise to you people, if you do want to get a facial, do not go to these large beauty chains...they are only concerned about selling you their package. The people whom they hire to do your facials may not be qualified Aesthetician. I know they hire alot of Malaysians and Chinese.
If you want to have a facial, go by word of mouth and go to those small salons (one man show) and check that the person is a qualified Aesthetician. Otherwise, go to branded salons like Clarins where you definitely cant go wrong.
Now I go to this place called Beauty Inspiration at Far east plaza. The facial is very relaxing with massages and non painful. Most importantly, I like the product they use which is Dermalogical and lots of essential oils.

I believe whether a facial session is good or not, 70% falls in the skills of the beautician. If one is very siklful in extracting, we would not end up having a swollen red face( So hot and painful). Experience beautician needs to be fast and most importantly must know what shld be extracted and what should not. If they go and trigger those hidden spots, bet you will end up screaming. Worst still, those pimples will become infected the following day.

Me too had a bad bad experience with haach.

I tried Clarins in London and it didn't do anything for my skin at all I actually broke out in tiny red bumps all over my face/upper back where the facialist touched me.

yikes!! Then you're probably allergic to the plant extracts in Clarins' products which is not suitable for absolutely everyone.
