Hi i am using the hokkaido horse oil range too but it's the lavender body care oil. got it during the initial launch and heard the japanese sales assistant saying that it consist of pure lavender oil and horse oil. but didn't understand when he demonstrated it by apply it on my hand then sprayed some water i think and rub it...it made my skin very smooth thats why i got it. btw the one u all got is it in liquid form?or soft mushy cream type? and did anyone try their black and white shampoo and soap?

Hi cel i am back in sg for quite a long time already. Havent seen you for quite awhile too until i chanced upon this thread btw do go check out the range at isetan think they got other frangrance too for the hokkaido horse oil. I like it coz it makes my skin smooth without the usual tackiness of other moisturising oils.

Personally, I won't want to use any animal products as part of my skincare regime.

few years ago i used hair products with Horse Oil on labels. after finishing 2 cycles, i stopped.

last month, i realised that the Horse Oil which i thought was from horse is actually NOT

so no animal extraction, don't worry.

Pardon my ignorance. Why's it called Horse Oil? Sounds promising, actually.

                          OT abit...

last time i thought was some secretion or extraction from horses so as to attain glossie (ahemm... on purpose ) mane like them.

i questioned the Basic Beauty SA last month, she told me it actually non-animal based oil that breeders use to groom & gloss their breed. don't true b.oh.

when i used the products, i felt 'horsey' under my showerhead

I tried doing a search on the net, but no yield. Still don't know why it's called horse oil if it's not a derivative from horses. If it's not from horses, then what's it made of? Petroleum oil for greasing horses? Just like emu oil, it's from emus right?
