Hi 101mynxes, I'm a new mommy and not sure what is really good for mom/dad & kid but you can try forum. There are several shops at the basement and a children bookshop at I think level 3 that may have something you are looking for. I'm sure the salesperson will be able to give you a good recommendation

Your niece is fortuate to have a caring aunt like you

Oooh! I'd love a trampoline and a bean bag chair too!!!!
Although the kids' tape recorder sound interesting since she loves to sing and perform.

Tanya, I'd love to get books for her .. the thing is I'm not too sure which "level" of books is suitable for a kid that age. I'm thinking of some interactive sort of books which mom/dad and kid can do together. Any recs?

Thanks for the lovely ideas ladies!

Hi, when my nephew turned 4 two years ago, I gave him storybooks. Not just one but several. He was very happy as he is a keen reader and so are his parents.

I believe in giving children meaningful and good gifts. Toys are always fun to receive but if you think she is going to receive many toys then books should be a great alternative.

Books - alphabet, counting, labelling, nursery rhymes, fairy tales.

    Bean Bag Chairs

Tramopline - that was my ultimate gift as a kid!

    a simple Puzzle

Kids Tape Recorder. I saw it at Toys R Rus and it even came with a microphone for the kid to sing and record it. Hours of fun. lol.

    Etch A Sketch - a classic goodie!

That's all I could think of right now!

hat sort of bday pressies would you like?

Hi moms of toddlers and kiddies

My niece Ashley is turning four next week and I'm at a loss -- was hoping for some suggestions from the mommies here!

What sort of pressie would you like your friends & relatives to bring to your kid's bday party? Her house is already so cluttered with toys and her High-5 collections rivals my own CD collection!

    TIA!!

My girl turned 1 yesterday!!! We had a very small celebration and she ate for the very 1st time, KFC whipped potato (without the gravy) and her birthday cake. She also started calling me 'mamay' yesterday!!! So happy.

Now that she is 1 year old, will need to 'upgrade' her formula milk. I'm thinking either Gain IQ or Progress Gold. Any moms with recommendations or feedback about these 2 or other brands?
