UniSA has a great support network. Their academics and admin staff are pretty on the ball. Their Comms degree esp is well regarded in the industry, or so my 'ex students' say.

camelot: hey.. i went to attend this talk by APMI on the NUID finance degree. It sounded reallly convincing and good. I even proceed to sign up but decided to withdraw in the end. I have friends that tell me that NUID is not that recognised yet. It may be a good school but no one know it exist. When i ask some ppl in the finance industry about it they are like huh?? I never really heard of it.. Is it really that good? cos i'm still can't decide on my degree yet..

The degree will get you started...but in the comms industry, it's the experience that counts. Do grab whatever vacation jobs you can, that is related to comms, even if it means very little money for you.

actually quite true, i've checked and ask around.. not even student who have studied in UK and Ireland knows about NUID, hence I didn't take up the IT degree in the first place as well.... but for UniSA i have checked and it seems they do have a good standing in the ranking for universities in Australia.... if i'm not wrong and see wrongly but do correct me if i'm wrong, its better than monash

Yes, UniSA is widely known to be better than Monash.

As for NUID, I really don't know abt UK students coz there are so many unis in UK...it's probable that they wouldn't know the ones in Ireland.

However, I've been told that its general degree programme (both Bachelor and masters) with specialism in Finance is good if you do not want to do a general business degree. However, if you want a hard core degree specifically for the finance and banking industry, the modules will not be sufficient.

Oops not sure, sorry. But I'm sure you can call up and ask what is the current intake. They just started the intake in Spore when I was working there in 2000
