  • Any surcharges for delivery on public holidays & wkends?

    Hi mummies who have delivered,

Is there any surcharges for delivery on public holidays and wkends?

And is there any extra charges for emergency c-sec?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, I delivered at Mt Alv. No surcharge for delivery during wkends and holidays. But there will be extra charges if it's a emergency c-section (which do happened to some of my friends).

      Hi Sharmaine,

      Thanks for reply

Btw, what constitues an emergency c-sec?
If let's say the mummy try induce like 2 times and still fail n end up c-sec, is this counted as normal or emergency?

Before you go for delivery, your gynae will ask/advise you which method of delivery to go for. For example, I opt for normal delivery. But on the actual delivery day, my gynae needs to use vacuum to get my baby out, so it's an assisted delivery (which will be another charge).

Experiences from my frs who went for emergency C-section are when they opted for normal delivery. Tried all sorts of methods (epidural etc) during delivery. When all these failed and any delay will put the baby at risk, the gynae will put you for emergency C-section.

            Thks Shoppingqueenie & Sharmaine!

So emergency c-sec occurs when baby is at risk.
